The Jungle is a book jacket inspired by Ted Nivison’s Youtube video titled “I Drove to Every Rainforest Cafe in North America” (2022). The book jacket contains a summary of the story on the back and a quote from the video. The front flap also includes a quote from the video and the back flap is a short author description (short description of myself). The book jacket’s spine includes the author’s name, the title, and Penguin Books publishing logo.

When I created this cover, I wanted it to be typographically creative. I manipulated the Abril Display typeface in Adobe Illustrator to conjoin with other letters. Finally, I added a subtle snake at the cap height of the letter “L” as a point of interest.
